Why Product Vendors May Reject Your Affiliate Request
As a newbie just starting out, being denied to promote certain affiliate products may not be new to you.
But come to think of it, have you ever wondered why your request gets rejected?
This information is very necessary because it may be an edge you may explore the next time you’re re-applying or applying to any affiliate network.
Some of the reasons why you get rejected are:
1. Empty Request Application
On both Jvzoo and WarriorPlus, there is always a space provided where you’re to leave a message for your affiliate request.
. . . . . .
That space is meant for you to tell the product vendor how you’ll promote his product.
What most beginners will do is just to hit the request approval button without filling in anything.
If you do that as a beginner with no sale history, you’ll sure get your request denied. This approach can only work for established and super affiliates.
What is needed from you is to explain in details how you would promote the product.
2. Not Being Convincing Enough
The affiliate request note of most newbie normally looks lame.
Their request lacks details on whom they are and their level of experience.
They fail to state how they are going to promote the product.
And because of this, product vendors or affiliate networks tends to decline their request.
3. No Sales History
Why would any product vendor or merchant approve your request when you’ve never made any sales? How will they know that you can even send them sales?
This is the chief reason why you may not get your affiliate request approved.
Be it on Jvzoo, WarriorPlus, Clickbank, Maxbounty, CPA Grip or whatever network you’re on, the ability to show that you can drive enough affiliate sales will surely stand you out of other affiliates applying for approval.
Some affiliate network will even ask if you have any experience working with other networks. If your answer is yes, they will request for the contact details of your affiliate manager on that network.
All they are trying to do is to confirm your level of experience and the number of sales you are making with that network.
Do you know that if you have any sales history on either of Jvzoo, WarriorPlus or Clickbank, you can use it to show at any affiliate network you are applying to as a sign that you can drive sales to affiliate products?
4. No Proof of Online Following
I’d recently applied to promote a particular product and the network asked for proof of audience I will be promoting their product to.
They demanded for my blog URL, a screenshot of my blog’s analytics showing the number of traffic my blog gets per month.
They also demanded to know if I had a mailing list and the number of subscribers that I have. Also my Youtube channel link was demanded, if I had one.
Guess why they needed all of that?
They wanted to be sure if I have a following online that I will be promoting their services to.
Another reason is to be sure that I don’t send spam traffic to their offer.
That is why I had always advocated that if you’re really serious about making money online, go start a blog.
If you can’t set up a blog, you can opt for a free blog set up service. Or you can go for the option of starting a Youtube channel.
If you happen to present a blog or a Youtube channel when applying for any affiliate product, it will show that you’re ready to send quality traffic right away.
5. To Protect Their EPCs and Conversion Rate
EPC stand for Earning Per Click.
. . . . .
It is value that shows how much an affiliate will potentially make per click sent to an offer while conversion rate shows how well a product is selling.
While Clickbank does not have EPC, it does have what is known as gravity.
. . . . . . .
The Clickbank gravity is a metric that shows how many affiliates has made a sale of that particular product in the last 90 days.
While a high EPC shows that a product is converting well, a high gravity shows that more affiliates are making sales and promoting that product.
So how does product vendors protect their EPCs and conversion rates by declining your affiliate request?
Look at it this way!
If a product vendor decides to approve all affiliate request they get including those from newbies, what will happen is that there is a possibility of those newbies sending traffic that will not convert into sales.
Should that product be in its launch period, a low EPC will put off other super affiliates whom would have loved to promote the product.
The notion of the super affiliates will be that the product is not a good one, hence the reason for the low EPC and conversion rates.
This will also make the product vendor to have a failed launch and less sales.
With that said, it is more advisable to limit the number of affiliates to experienced affiliates whom will send quality traffic that will convert to sales.
6. To Weed Out Scammers and Inexperienced Affiliates
This is another major reason why your affiliate request on Jvzoo, WarriorPlus or Clickbank might get rejected.
There is no need having 300 affiliates wanting to promote your product while in reality, only 120 will send quality traffic to your sales page.
Due to these, product vendors only allow experienced and super affiliates with proving records of generating sales.
In addition, there are some people that will just send bot traffic and use it to weigh down your serve.
This will make your site to load slowly leading to low page speed. If this should happen when your product is on a launch, it will lead to high bounce rate and less sales.
Now that you have known some of the road blocks that can have your affiliate request to get denied,
How Do You Get Your Request To Promote Affiliate Products Approved?
To be able to always get accepted to promote affiliate products either on Jvzoo, WarriorPlus or Clickbank, you must be ready to do things differently.
Doing things differently will automatically set you apart from other beginner affiliates.
To do this, you must show proof of seriousness. This means that you must be ready to impress product vendors or affiliates networks right from the beginning.
What this means is that you must have in place what will entice them to approve your request. Some of those things are:
1. An Affiliate Product Review Blog
An affiliate product review blog is a simple blog where you post reviews of affiliate products on Jvzoo, WarriorPlus or Clickbank.
Examples of these type of blog are Glen Review and Dope Reviews.
What you will do is to write a detailed honest review about the particular product that you want to review.
You then post that content you have written on your blog with your affiliate link and rank it on Google.
If you are using the launch jacking method, you’ll surely make money from spill over traffic rushing to Google for reviews of the product during the launch period.
To set up an affiliate product review blog, first head over to NameSilo to get a domain name.
. . . . . .
After that, you can sign up for a website hosting either at Bluehost or 5Cloudhost.
. . . . . .
. . . . . . .
I don’t recommend getting a domain from a hosting provide. Rather it is better to get your domain from NameSilo before signing up for hosting.
Doing so will help you to reduce your hosting renewal cost and it will still save you money at the long run.
Here is a detailed post on how to set up an affiliate review site that ranks on Google and makes money.
If you can do it yourself, you can still opt for the option of a free done-for-you WordPress blog set up.
2. Product Review Youtube Channel
Did you know that most searches for product reviews happen on Youtube?
You can turn in between 10 – 20 front end sales for every product reviews using Youtube alone.
So don’t underestimate the power of Youtube in helping to drive sale sales.
To do take advantage of this method, just create a Youtube channel and start creating product review videos.
In order to do this correctly, this training called GateWay will reveal all it requires to create an authority Youtube channel.
. . . . . . .
Inside GateWay member’s area, you’ll be greeted with helpful video contents on what to do.
. . . . . .
It does not matter if you are camera shy, GateWay training will show you how to run a Youtube channel without being on camera.
Robin Palmer the creator of the GateWay training will even allow you to use his review videos on your channel.
What this simply means is that he does the work while you make money from his hard work.

3. A Mailing List
A mailing list is a list containing the email address of people who are interested in a topic, product, idea or niche.
To be able to have this list, other people must have willingly given you their emails.
The power of this kind of targeted list is that with just a click of the mouse, you can send an email to over 100,000 people at a go.
To build up this list, an auto-responder service like GetResponse will come in handy.
. . . . . .
GetResponse offers a free trial you can use to get started.
. . . . . . .
GetResponse also has a feature that allows you to build a squeeze page to which you can send traffic to.
. . . . . . . .
When you are done setting up your landing page on GetResponse, you can use Udimi to send traffic to your landing.
Kind note that you’re not expected to have all three of what is mentioned above. A proof of just any is enough.
But I recommend that you should have at least two of the above.
Now let’s dive into the meat of this post…
How To Get Approved on Jvzoo, WarriorPlus or Clickbank To Promote Affiliate Products
At this point, you should have known why your request to promote affiliate products often gets rejected.
In addition, you must have known how to avoid such a scenario by laying up a good foundation before applying for any affiliate product.
To be able to overcome the hurdle of getting your request approved, here are what you should be doing:
1. Apply To Promote Old Product
One mistake I normally see newbie make is wanting to promote product launches.
Though good, but if you don’t have any sales history, it will be fairly difficult for product vendors to approve your request.
This is simply because product vendors will want to protect their EPCs and conversion rates.
So the best way to get around this is to promote old products.
You will easily get approved to promote old products simply because these products are not in their launch phase.
To add, the product vendors are not too considerate on EPCs or conversion rates for these products.
In fact, you will easily get approved, because the product vendors will see it as an additional source of passive income for them on a daily basis.
My recommendation is to go for products that is not more than two months old.
This will mean that the product is not too old but it content is still fresh and delivers value.
To get these type products on WarriorPlus, login to your account, hover over to “Affiliates” -> “Offers”
. . . . . . .
On the list shown, scroll down and be looking at the date.
. . . . . .
On Jvzoo, also login to your account, hover over to “Affiliates” -> “Affiliate Product”
. . . . . . .
On the page that shows up, you then sort affiliate products by date launched.
. . . . . . .
This will bring out all the products launched on the date range selected.
. . . . . .
From the list, select the product you want to promote and request for approval.
If you do this correctly, your chances of getting approved will be high.
The benefit of this method is that after making some sales promoting old products, since you now have some sales history, it will give you an edge when applying to promote upcoming product launch.
2. Name Jacking Method
Let’s say you are an upcoming footballer and you tell a football scout or agent that you play for Barcelona B team. What will that tell that scout or agent about you?
It goes to show that though you’re not yet a professional footballer, but you have some prospects.
Reason being that you’re already playing for the junior team of one of the best football clubs in the world.
This same approach also applies in the world of affiliate marketing.
Imagine just mentioning that you are a student of one of the top affiliates when requesting for approval!
This will greatly increase your chances of being approved because it is believed that you’re not just a novice but someone who has been trained by the best hands available.
In order for this method to work, you show evidence that you are actually a student of the top affiliate you are mentioning.
The best way to go about this is take on any of the courses of the marketer you want to name jack.
On either of Jvzoo, WarriorPlus or Clickbank, you’ll find a lot of affiliate products by top affiliate marketers, just sign up to any one you can afford and you’re done.
3. Buy The Product
This is the approach you will have to explore should every other option fails.
This will almost guarantee that you approved to any affiliate product online.
Imagine being a customer of any product or service and you decided to promote it. It will give the product vendor the belief that you are satisfied customer who wants to help spread the word out about their product.
Be it an old product or an upcoming one, paying for the product and then requesting to promote it will get you approved without any hassles.
If it’s an upcoming product that is yet to be launched, you can approach the product vendor and offer to send him the amount for the product via PayPal.
Even though you don’t have any sales history, it will proof to the vendor that you’re a serious affiliate.
Should you even have a review blog or a Youtube channel, you’ll get a faster approval.
Some products online like web hosting services will automatically generate an affiliate link for you as a customer.
4. Video Request Approach
While most affiliates will submit their request on a written format, have considered doing a video?
This you can do with just your smart phone.
What you will say in the video is not different from what you would have written.
Just launch the camera on your smart phone device, put it in a selfie mode and start your recording.
In the video, introduce yourself and tell the product vendor in details how you would go about promoting his product.
When you are done, upload the video as an unlisted video to Youtube, grab the video link and send it over to the vendor to watch.
Just this simple approach will set you apart from other affiliates. It will show how serious you are and the effort you are ready to put in to promote their product.
Don’t look down on this method, just give it a trial and see the magic that this will perform.
5. Follow-up On The Product Vendor
You should know that these product vendors are humans just like yourself with a normal life.
Again, putting up product for launch or supporting other affiliates in their product launch are what they do almost on a daily basis.
For some, affiliate marketing is their full time job. This is not to their personal engagements and endeavours.
All of these ensures that they are really busy individuals and may not have time to check to see if there are any pending affiliate request needed to be approved.
So the best bet is reach out to them of either Facebook or Skype, depending on where they are more active on and remind them that you have left them an affiliate request.
